She has never stood out much to me before, but this season she has been so consistent and good. This is a horse that could go places. She very nearly won today! Please keep on working with her. I feel like she's good competition for Acantha at eight furlongs. I hope to see her running in more high level races because I think she could cut it there. Keep it up!" ~ Sunfrost "I am so impressed with this filly. Just like my feedback from last time, but she's gotten even better. I felt like placing second to Cross last time out really inspired this mare today to not take no for an answer. She was strong and sure. I think you should definitely enter her in more HOTY-selection races and the BC at the end of the season at the rate she's going at. Potential to pull off big upsets at the highest levels. Keep going!!" -Sunfrost "Passion Heart has had a big turn around in the past few months, she is a brilliant mare and I can't wait to see her in the future." - Sammy "I am so glad that I sold her to you CC while Lucy had her for awhile she has really sparked with you and I enjoy that. Let her run her heart out well not literally but I am dying to see her in the Breeders Cup. I Think she will make it. Go PASSION!" - Sammy "SQUEEEE Passion Heart!!!" - Frosty |
PersonalityPassion is a fierce competitor she has a nasty attitude but, always gets the job done. She loves to run and loves to finish with high energy. She is indeed one to attack if strongly irritated but, she is can be a sweet girl when she isn't in her moods. Passion does have the knack for running and seems to succeed when not pushed so hard. She hates when she is not fed in time. Passion is picky when it comes to food so hay and oats is required. She loves a cheering crowd and when entering the track she always holds her head high for joy.
Although, her genes are spectacular being a pure black filly with a star on her forehead. She is perfect height for her age. She has proven to her humans that she is very much a runner. She was at first going to be a show thoroughbred but, the staff decided to train her into becoming a well fit racehorse. She arrived at Nature Blue stables with an older pure brother Ruler's Secret. While she show's to be the wild one of the two the staff decided to keep them both on separate sides of the stables. |
With, Ally everything just has to be difficult. It's simply how she is, so when she sees that big metal gate, she decides to make everyone's lives a living hell. She hates the gate with a passion and will usually hold up races for long amounts of time just avoiding the gate. She'll fight everyone on it and she HAS to be the last horse loaded, the less time she's in the gate the better. On a good day she'll load with some hesitation, but on most days the gate is the part of racing that passion hates the most and she likes to make it well known.
The great thing about Ally not liking the gate is she cannot wait to get out of it, and boy oh boy does she shoot out of those gates. Ally launches herself from the gates a quickly as she possibly can and once she's in the lead she'll settle into a nice pace that she's comfortable with. She's bloody fast and she isn't stupid, if she knows she has the race in the bag she'll flash that speed and make a point that she is the best in that race. You give Ally a easy lead and she'll win the race by daylight, if there isn't anyone around her and she gets to dictate her own pace the race is over as soon as she launches herself out of those gates. Although seeing her walk out onto the track you may not think she likes running much as she's always bucking with her ears flat against her skull with a look of 'I don't want to be here' on her face; however, Ally lives for those moments where she can fly around the track and win with heart or ease. Her jockey Andrew swears up and down that when Ally runs she's so liberated because she thinks she's running so fast that her problems cannot catch her. It has taken us a very long time, but we have been able to teach Ally the importance of rating and although it isn't her favorite thing to do, if it's needed, she can and will rate in a race. About mid-way through the final turn is when Ally turns on the turbos and it's only a matter of strides before she puts five lengths between herself and the competition. She has a massive stride and a huge heart that will carry her straight down to the wire with her nose in first. |

Passion Heart has recently returned to Nature Spring Acre's and while the move didn't seek to please the infamous mare she has certainly gained her reputation at her fiery temper. This mare needs to be handled with care as ill tempered as her mother, Passion does show her talent for the track. She is a strong and fierce competitor who will do best with calm and mature turf studs who rather go the mile to distance to get the proper foal. Passion may be mean and cold but she does seem to have a small tiny soft spot for her offspring.
